The School of Engineering at the American University in Dubai (AUD) invites qualified applicants for the position of Assistant or Associate Professor of Computer Engineering to begin teaching in Fall 2026. Therefore, this role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to teaching, research, and academic service at a prestigious private institution in Dubai.

Position Overview:
Applicants in the areas of Cybersecurity, Embedded Systems, and Internet of Things will be considered. Furthermore, candidates should have a strong track record of teaching and research in one or more of these specified areas.

Required Qualifications:

• To begin with, candidates must have an undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering
• Additionally, a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering or a closely related field from a Western accredited institution at the time of appointment
• Furthermore, a track record of teaching and research in one or more of the specified areas:
  • Cybersecurity
  • Embedded Systems
  • Internet of Things
• Moreover, excellent English written and oral communication skills
• Additionally, ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Industrial experience is highly desirable

Key Responsibilities:

• First and foremost, deliver high-quality instruction in Computer Engineering with specialization in Cybersecurity, Embedded Systems, or IoT
• Additionally, contribute to curriculum development and program enhancement
• Furthermore, engage in research and scholarly activities
• Moreover, supervise student projects, theses, and research initiatives
• In addition, participate in departmental and university service activities
• Furthermore, collaborate with industry and professional communities
