Job Description
Canadian University Dubai (CUD) invites applications for the position of Career Services and Internship Officer within the Student Affairs Division. This role supports the University’s commitment to enhancing student employability and ensuring the efficient delivery of internship and career development services.
Position Overview:
The Career Services and Internship Officer reports to the Career Services and Internship Coordinator and is responsible for managing the administrative and operational processes of the career and internship function. This includes overseeing internship documentation, maintaining databases, preparing reports for accreditation and audits, supporting events, and handling communications with students and employers.
Key Responsibilities:
Internship and Data Management:
- Manage the full internship process including application tracking, data collection, document verification, and record retention
- Maintain updated databases of employers, internship opportunities, and student placements
- Ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance in data handling and reporting
- Monitor student progress and assist in tracking internship outcomes
Reporting and Communications:
- Prepare analytical and statistical reports for accreditation, audits, and internal reviews
- Manage incoming and outgoing office communications and ensure timely responses
- Handle enquiries from students and employers regarding internships and career services
Event and Office Support:
- Support logistical arrangements for workshops, employer sessions, and career fairs
- Assist in developing and documenting office procedures to improve workflow
- Contribute to process enhancement across internship and career development operations
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Management, or a related field
- 2 to 4 years of experience in administrative, data management, or student services roles
- Strong computer literacy and experience with database management and reporting tools
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
- High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information
