Job Description

The University of Khorfakkan invites applications from qualified PhD holders in Digital Media for full-time faculty positions. Therefore, this role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to teaching, research, and industry engagement at a dynamic university in the UAE.

Position Overview:
The successful candidate will teach Digital Media courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels, with a particular focus on digital journalism, digital marketing, and social media management. Furthermore, they will engage in high-quality research, supervise student projects, and contribute to curriculum development and accreditation processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching:

• First and foremost, teach Digital Media courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels
• Additionally, cover topics such as digital journalism, digital marketing, and social media management
• Furthermore, develop interactive curricula using modern digital tools and technologies

Research & Scholarship:

• Moreover, conduct high-quality research in the field of digital media
• Specifically, publish in internationally recognized, peer-reviewed journals
• Additionally, lead advanced research and technical projects with a focus on big data, AI, and analytics
• Consequently, maintain a strong research record in digital media

Supervision:

• In addition, supervise student research, graduation projects, as well as master’s and doctoral theses
• Furthermore, guide students in their academic and professional development

Curriculum Development:

• Additionally, develop and update curricula to align with the latest trends and technological advancements in digital media
• Specifically, incorporate emerging tools and platforms into course design

Accreditation:

Required Qualifications & Competencies:

• To begin with, candidates must have a PhD in Digital Media or a related field from a recognized university
• Furthermore, a minimum of three years of teaching experience in digital media or new media
• Additionally, a strong research record with publications in internationally ranked, peer-reviewed journals
• Moreover, experience in digital data analysis, digital marketing, and communication across digital platforms
• Furthermore, ability to develop interactive curricula using modern digital tools and technologies
• Additionally, proficiency in digital media tools such as Google Analytics, SEO, and AI applications in media
• Moreover, experience in supervising graduation projects and postgraduate research
• Preference for candidates with experience in e-learning environments and blended learning approaches
