Job Description

The School of Management at Canadian University Dubai (CUD) invites applications for faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor in Digital Business Innovation. We seek highly qualified and motivated academics with expertise in Digital Business Innovation, Information Systems, and Information Technology Management.

Position Overview:
Successful candidates will contribute to excellence in teaching, research, and academic service, with particular emphasis on digital transformation, innovation, emerging technologies, and the strategic management of technology in business environments.

Qualifications:

• PhD in Digital Business, Business Information Systems, Information Technology Management, or closely related discipline
• Degree awarded by a university ranked within top 500 of QS World University Rankings (preferably Western accredited institution)
• Strong record of effective teaching and research productivity
• Scholarly publications in highly ranked, Scopus indexed journals
• Evidence of industry engagement and applied expertise
• Relevant professional certifications (advantage)

Preference for candidates with Canadian affiliation: Canadian qualifications, teaching experience at a Canadian university, or academic/professional linkages to Canada or North America.

Experience Requirements:

• Assistant Professor: Minimum 2 years undergraduate teaching experience at a top 500 QS ranked university + curriculum development + graduation project supervision
• Associate Professor: Minimum 5 years undergraduate/graduate teaching experience at a top 500 QS ranked university + MSc/DBA student supervision (AACSB familiarity preferred)

• Innovation strategy and emerging technologies
• Platform business models, fintech, and AI in business
• Technology enabled organizational change

Research Expectations:

• Maintain active research agenda
• Produce high quality scholarly output in Q1/Q2 Scopus indexed journals
• Research demonstrating relevance to contemporary business challenges, digital innovation, industry application, and societal impact

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in area of specialization
• Prepare and update course syllabi, assess student performance
• Provide academic advising and student support
• Supervise independent studies, capstone projects, internships, and theses
• Contribute to curriculum review, course design, and assurance of learning
• Conduct impactful research and publish in respected academic outlets
• Engage with industry and professional communities
• Serve as subject matter expert within the program
• Participate in academic governance, faculty meetings, and accreditation activities
• Engage in community outreach, professional service, and collaborations
