The School of Business at the American University in Dubai (AUD) invites qualified applicants for the position of Assistant or Associate Professor of Economics to begin teaching in Fall 2026. Therefore, this role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to teaching, research, and academic service at a prestigious private institution in Dubai.

Position Overview:
The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in Economics or a related field from a Western accredited institution at the time of appointment. Furthermore, they must demonstrate significant potential and promise of teaching effectiveness and excellence at the undergraduate and MBA levels, active scholarship, a track record of professional development, student advising abilities, and other services to the department, school, and community.

Required Qualifications:

• To begin with, candidates must have a Ph.D. in Economics or a related field from a Western accredited institution at the time of appointment
• Additionally, ability to teach a broad range of courses in Economics, particularly in applied Microeconomics
• Furthermore, excellent English written and oral communication skills
• Moreover, ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ideal candidates will have high-quality publications in peer-reviewed outlets commensurate with rank
• Preference will be given to candidates with industry experience

Key Responsibilities:

• First and foremost, deliver high-quality instruction in Economics at undergraduate and MBA levels
• Additionally, demonstrate teaching effectiveness and excellence
• Furthermore, maintain active scholarship and professional development
• Moreover, provide student advising and academic support
• In addition, contribute to service activities at the department, school, and community levels
