The School of Engineering at the American University in Dubai (AUD) invites qualified applicants for the position of Assistant or Associate Professor of Computer Engineering in the area of Artificial Intelligence to begin teaching in Fall 2026. Therefore, this role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to teaching, research, and academic service at a prestigious private institution in Dubai.

Position Overview:
The successful candidate should have an undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering. Furthermore, they must hold a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering or a closely related field from a Western accredited institution at the time of appointment. Additionally, candidates must demonstrate a track record of teaching and research in one or more of the specified areas.

Required Qualifications:

  • To begin with, candidates must have an undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering
  • Additionally, a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering or a closely related field from a Western accredited institution at the time of appointment
  • Furthermore, a track record of teaching and research in Artificial Intelligence or related areas
  • Moreover, excellent English written and oral communication skills
  • Additionally, ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Industrial experience is highly desirable

Key Responsibilities:

  • First and foremost, deliver high-quality instruction in Computer Engineering with specialization in Artificial Intelligence
  • Additionally, contribute to curriculum development and program enhancement
  • Furthermore, engage in research and scholarly activities
  • Moreover, supervise student projects and research initiatives
  • In addition, participate in departmental and university service activities
