Job Description
The School of Business at the American University in Dubai (AUD) invites qualified applicants for the position of Assistant or Associate Professor of Accounting to begin teaching in Fall 2026. Therefore, this role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to teaching, research, and academic service at a prestigious private institution in Dubai.

Position Overview:
The successful candidate will have a Doctorate degree in Accounting from a Western Accredited Institution at the time of appointment. Additionally, candidates must demonstrate significant potential and promise of teaching effectiveness and excellence at the undergraduate and MBA levels, active scholarship, a track record of professional development and research, student advising abilities, and service to the department, school, and community.
Required Qualifications:
- To begin with, candidates must have a Doctorate degree in Accounting from a Western Accredited Institution at the time of appointment
- Furthermore, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Certification will be a major advantage
- Additionally, a demonstrated record of research publication and teaching excellence in the relevant field
- Moreover, the relevant professional designation or certification would be a major advantage
- Furthermore, experience in consulting for business organizations and industry will be an advantage
- Additionally, excellent English written and verbal communication skills
- Finally, ability to be an active team player and a contributor to continuous improvement in the School of Business Administration
Key Responsibilities:
- First and foremost, deliver high-quality instruction in Accounting at undergraduate and MBA levels
- Additionally, demonstrate teaching effectiveness and excellence
- Furthermore, maintain active scholarship and research
- Moreover, provide student advising and academic support
- In addition, contribute to service activities at the department, school, and community levels
- Furthermore, support continuous improvement initiatives within the School of Business Administration
Compensation & Benefits:
