Job Description

The University of Kalba is seeking a Psychologist to provide psychological counseling and mental health support services to university students, promote student well-being and mental health, and assist students in adapting to university life while overcoming psychological, social, and academic challenges — thereby supporting their academic achievement and personal development.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Mental Health, or a related field from an accredited university
  • Professional licensure or certification in counseling or psychotherapy is preferred

Experience

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in psychological counseling or student support services, preferably within a higher education institution

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group psychological counseling sessions for students
  • Assess students’ psychological and behavioral conditions using approved professional methods and assessment tools
  • Develop appropriate counseling and treatment plans and monitor their implementation
  • Provide psychological support to students experiencing academic, social, family, or mental health challenges
  • Manage emergency and psychological crisis cases in accordance with approved policies and procedures
  • Refer cases requiring specialized intervention to appropriate medical or therapeutic providers, in coordination with the relevant department
  • Design and deliver awareness programs and workshops on mental health promotion and the prevention of behavioral and psychological issues

  • Collaborate with colleges and academic departments to provide appropriate support for students with special psychological needs
