The University of Kalba invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Artificial Intelligence within the College of Computing and Intelligent Systems. Position Overview:
The successful candidate is expected to contribute to excellence in teaching, high-quality research, curriculum innovation, and academic service, in alignment with the University’s mission and strategic goals. Furthermore, they will teach undergraduate courses in Artificial Intelligence and related Computer Science disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching & Course Delivery:

• First and foremost, teach undergraduate courses in Artificial Intelligence and related Computer Science disciplines
• Additionally, deliver core AI courses such as:
  • Machine Learning
  • Deep Learning
  • Data Science
  • Intelligent Systems
  • AI Applications
• Furthermore, integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and technologies effectively into teaching and learning activities
• Moreover, develop course syllabi, learning materials, assessments, and instructional strategies aligned with program outcomes

Student Support & Mentorship:

• In addition, supervise and mentor students academically
• Furthermore, support students’ research and career development
• Additionally, undertake formative and summative assessments to ensure progress
• Moreover, implement interventions where required

Research & Scholarship:

• Furthermore, conduct research in Artificial Intelligence
• Specifically, publish in reputable, high-impact journals indexed in Scopus
• Consequently, maintain a strong publication record in the candidate’s research area

Curriculum Development:

• Additionally, participate in curriculum development, program review, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Furthermore, apply learning practices effectively

Academic Service:

• Moreover, engage in departmental, college, and university service and administrative responsibilities
• Additionally, engage in professional activities and community service

Required Qualifications:

• To begin with, candidates must have a Ph.D. degree in Artificial Intelligence or a closely related discipline from an internationally recognized university
• Furthermore, a publication record in high-reputable journals indexed in Scopus within the candidate’s research area
• Additionally, demonstrated ability to teach core AI and computing courses
• Moreover, university-level teaching experience is required
• Finally, proficiency in both Arabic and English (spoken and written) is essential
