The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the American University of Sharjah (AUS) invites applications for a one-year visiting faculty position in Data Science, commencing August 2026. Therefore, this role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to teaching and research at a leading institution in the UAE.

Position Overview:
The Department is accepting applications for a one-year visiting position. For full consideration, applications must be received by March 30, 2026. Furthermore, applicants with research interests in data science or data mining will be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

• First and foremost, teach data science courses at all levels of the curriculum
• Additionally, contribute to student learning and academic development
• Furthermore, engage in scholarly activities appropriate to the visiting position
• Moreover, participate in departmental activities and academic service

Required Qualifications:

• To begin with, candidates must have a PhD in Data Science, Statistics, or Mathematics by the appointment start date
• Furthermore, evidence of excellence in teaching at all levels of the curriculum is expected
• Additionally, strong communication skills in English are required
• Moreover, experience in North American-style higher education is highly desirable
