Job Description

The Mechanical Engineering Department at Alfaisal University invites applications for a full time position at the Instructor, Senior Instructor, and Lecturer level. The hiring will be at the rank commensurate with experience, achievements and qualifications of the successful candidate. Applicants must have at least a masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline, preferably from an ABET accredited institution. The successful candidate must have a strong research record, and have experience teaching and supervising graduate and undergraduate students. The successful candidate is also expected to actively contribute to community outreach and service to the department, college, and university.

Applications will be assessed as they are received and the position will remain open until filled or the search is closed. The remuneration package includes an internationally competitive salary, housing allowance, relocation allowance, medical and life insurance.

The starting date for the position is 30 December 2025. An earlier starting date is preferred.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

The successful candidate are expected to teach a range of laboratory sessions and undergraduate courses including but not limited to:

• Introduction to Computer Aided Design
• Advanced Visualization and Simulations
• Instrumentation and Control Engineering

Alfaisal University is a young and rapidly growing university located in Riyadh, the capital city of Saudi Arabia. To further meet industry demands and technological advancements, the College is being restructured and rebranded as the College of Engineering and Advanced Computing. New bachelor’s programs are being introduced in Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Data Science, and Architecture—strategically designed to prepare students for careers in the digital and technological age.

At the graduate level, the College offers a Master’s in Engineering and Systems Management, developed in partnership with the Centre for Complex Engineering Systems (CCES) at KACST and MIT, with a focus on decision-making, analytics, and Industry 4.0. In addition, new graduate programs have been launched in Applied Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity.
