Position Overview

Emirates Aviation University (EAU) invites applications for a Post-doctoral Research Associate specializing in Bayesian Machine Learning for climate and health data modeling. This 3-year fixed-term role (starting 1st October or negotiable) focuses on developing cutting-edge probabilistic models to analyze climate change impacts on public health, including heatwaves and flooding.

Key Responsibilities

Advanced Model Development

• Design Bayesian machine learning frameworks (e.g., Gaussian processes, physics-informed neural networks) to analyze climate-health relationships.
• Develop computational algorithms for large-scale spatial/temporal climate data.

Predictive Analytics & Validation

• Innovate techniques for model benchmarking and validation of climate-health predictions.

Interdisciplinary Collaboration

• Partner with public health experts to apply models to real-world datasets.

Qualifications

✅ Essential:

• PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or related field.
• Expertise in Bayesian statistics, probabilistic ML, and Gaussian process models.
• Strong Python programming skills.

✅ Preferred (but not required):

• Experience with public health/climate data.
• Background in multivariate statistical methods.
