(Part-time) Assistant Professor – Construction Management | Kingdom University Bahrain

Job Description

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Kingdom University Bahrain invites applications for a Part-time Assistant Professor position in Construction Management. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to engineering education at a dynamic university in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Position Overview:
The successful candidate will teach assigned courses within the College of Engineering, specifically in the Civil and Environmental Engineering department. Responsibilities include course delivery, student mentorship, examination invigilation, and thesis supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching:

• Deliver assigned courses in Construction Management within the Civil and Environmental Engineering department
• Prepare and submit full course portfolios for each taught course at the end of each semester
• Engage students through effective instruction and learning activities

Student Support:

• Mentor, supervise, and advise students as assigned
• Guide undergraduate students in their academic development
• Support student learning and progression

Examination Duties:

• Engage in exams invigilation as assigned by the Examination Committee
• Ensure academic integrity during assessment processes

Research Supervision:

• Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate theses as assigned
• Engage in thesis defense sessions when assigned
• Support student research and scholarly development

Required Qualifications:

• PhD in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or closely related field from an accredited institution
• Demonstrated teaching experience at the university level
• Strong background in construction management principles, project management, and construction methods
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to student mentorship and academic excellence

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional certifications in construction or project management
• Industry experience in construction, contracting, or project development
• Experience in curriculum development
• Track record of research publications
