Full Professor / Associate Professor / Lecturer in Architectural Design | German International University

Job Description

German International University invites applications for a faculty position in Architectural Design at the rank of Full Professor, Associate Professor, or Lecturer to join the Architecture and Interior Architecture program. The program addresses local and global architectural and interior architecture challenges with sustainability and resilience as core topics of research.

Teaching Areas:

• Design studios
• History and theory of architecture
• Ecology and sustainable design
• Sociology
• Conservation
• Urban design
• Architectural Design

Qualifications:

• PhD or Doctorate in Architecture from an accredited institution
• Track record of collaborative research and successful supervision
• Demonstrated experience teaching history and theories of Architecture (required)
• Demonstrated experience teaching Architecture Design studios (required)
• Ability to lead Architecture design studios (essential)
• Practical experience in architecture design (essential)
• Excellent teaching ability at undergraduate and graduate levels
• High capacity to develop pedagogical innovations and manage a study program
• Excellent communication skills (oral, written, presentation)
• Proficiency in English (oral and written)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Commitment to excellence in undergraduate or graduate teaching
• Record of accomplishment in independent and applied research
