Job Description
Horizon University College (HUC) invites applications for a full-time faculty position in Entrepreneurship at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to entrepreneurial education, research, and community engagement in a dynamic academic environment.
Position Overview:
The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching excellence, research productivity, and academic service. The role includes developing teaching-learning resources, mentoring students, and contributing to the vision and mission of the school.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching & Curriculum Development:
- Deliver high-quality instruction in entrepreneurship courses
- Develop teaching-learning resources and academic materials
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning needs
- Contribute to the development of academic courses and programs
Research & Scholarship:
- Maintain a strong record of research and publications
- Publish in Scopus-indexed and ABDC-listed journals
- Engage in research activities that advance the field of entrepreneurship
- Supervise student research projects and initiatives
Student Engagement:
- Develop affinity with students across various learning needs
- Mentor and advise students in their academic journey
- Support student clubs and entrepreneurial activities
- Foster student development and professional growth
Academic Service:
- Participate in academic administration as required
- Work independently and as part of collaborative teams
- Engage with diverse students, faculty, and staff
- Contribute to community service initiatives
- Support the development of high-quality education
Required Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree in Entrepreneurship or related discipline
- Excellent academic track record throughout career
- Professional memberships and certifications in relevant field
Required Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of teaching and research experience in reputed institutions
- At least 2 years of experience in academic administration
- Strong record of research and publications (Scopus, ABDC, etc.)
Required Academic Skills:
- Experience developing teaching-learning resources
- Demonstrated ability to connect with students across diverse learning needs
- Experience working with diverse student, faculty, and staff populations
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in team settings
