English Instructor Job in Oman – Foundation Program at Dhofar University

Dhofar University invites applications for an English Instructor job in Oman within its Centre for Preparatory Studies (CPS). This is an exceptional opportunity to join the premier university in southern Oman, located in the beautiful coastal city of Salalah. We are seeking qualified instructors and lecturers to teach English in our Foundation Program for the 2025-26 academic year, helping students achieve IELTS Band 5.0 proficiency before beginning their degree programs.

About the Role:
The successful candidate will join the English Section to deliver essential English language instruction to foundation students. This role is based at our internationally accredited campus, offering a stunning environment between the mountains and the Arabian Sea for a rewarding teaching career.

Requirements for Omani Candidates:

• Option 1: Full-time MA in English Literature/Linguistics (GPA 3.0+) + BA in same field + 3 years post-basic teaching experience
• Option 2: Full-time M.Ed. in TESL/TEFL (GPA 3.0+) + 2 years post-basic teaching experience
• Outstanding English command (minimum IELTS Band 6.5)
• CELTA/TEFL/TESOL certificate required if degree not directly in English teaching

Requirements for Non-Omani Candidates:

• Outstanding English command (minimum IELTS Band 7.0)
• Full-time MA in English, TEFL, TESL, Linguistics or related field (GPA 3.2+) + BA in related subject
• Minimum 3 years post-basic teaching experience
• CELTA/TEFL/TESOL certificate required if degree not directly in English teaching
