About the Role:


The successful candidate will deliver high-quality cybersecurity education, conduct innovative research, and contribute to program development while working with state-of-the-art technologies and methodologies in cybersecurity and digital forensics.

Key Responsibilities:
Teaching & Education:

  • Deliver 3-4 modules per semester in cybersecurity and digital forensics
  • Teach at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
  • Supervise student projects and dissertations
  • Develop and update curriculum content
  • Ensure OAAA accreditation standards compliance

Research & Scholarship:

  • Conduct scholarly research leading to publications
  • Secure research grants and funding
  • Publish in refereed, indexed international journals
  • Develop research collaborations
  • Enhance department’s research capabilities

Industry Engagement:

  • Liaise with industry partners and professionals
  • Organize industry speaker events
  • Facilitate student industrial placements
  • Maintain industry-relevant curriculum
  • Bridge academic and professional practices

Program Development:

  • Contribute to curriculum development
  • Participate in accreditation processes
  • Develop executive education programs
  • Enhance laboratory learning experiences
  • Support recruitment activities

Qualifications:


Education:

  • PhD in Cybersecurity, Computer Science or related field
  • From internationally recognized university

Specialization Areas:

  • Cybersecurity principles and practices
  • Digital forensics techniques
  • Incident response and malware analysis
  • Network security and ethical hacking
  • Cyber risk management

Experience:

  • Teaching experience at undergraduate/postgraduate levels
  • Research track record in cybersecurity
  • Student project supervision experience
  • Industry experience (preferred)
  • Administrative experience (preferred)

Certifications (Preferred):

  • SANS certifications (GIAC)
  • CISSP, CEH, CISM
  • Other relevant professional certifications
