The College of Medicine at Ajman University invites applications for a Clinical Assistant or Associate Professor in Family Medicine, commencing in the Fall semester of the 2023-2024 academic year. This is a distinguished opportunity for a dedicated clinician-educator to contribute to our innovative medical program in the UAE.

We are seeking a board-certified Family Medicine specialist to deliver high-quality education, engage in impactful research, and support our commitment to excellence in medical training. The ideal candidate will be passionate about integrating clinical expertise with academic rigor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging courses in Family Medicine and related disciplines, aligning with AU’s standards in teaching, research, and service.
• Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback to ensure academic success.
• Conduct high-quality research in clinical and biomedical sciences, publishing outcomes in reputable journals.
• Support curriculum development in Family Medicine, ensuring integration with basic and clinical sciences.
• Participate in accreditation initiatives and contribute to the college’s academic advancement.
• Utilize technology effectively in the education process, including e-learning systems and presentations.
• Maintain positive relationships with students, fostering a conducive learning environment.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• A basic medical degree (MBBS/MD) and an earned Ph.D. or terminal clinical qualification in Family Medicine from an accredited institution.
• Board certification in Family Medicine and eligibility for registration and licensing as a clinical practitioner in the UAE.
• Demonstrated ability to teach in areas such as family medicine, geriatric medicine, community medicine, occupational medicine, or palliative care.
• Experience teaching in an integrated systems-based curriculum; familiarity with PBL/TBL methodologies is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in English with advanced technology skills for educational delivery.
• A strong record of scholarly work and a commitment to continued professional development.
