Job Description
The University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) invites applications for the position of Associate Dean for the College of Health Sciences. This is a senior leadership role offering an exceptional opportunity to shape the future of applied health sciences education in Qatar and contribute to the realization of Qatar’s National Vision 2030.
UDST is Qatar’s first national applied university, supporting over 8,000 students with more than 70 programs. We are seeking an accomplished academic leader with a distinguished record in health sciences to drive excellence in teaching, research, and institutional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic academic and administrative leadership to the College of Health Sciences.
- Support the Dean in planning, organizing, and managing the College’s diverse academic programs and initiatives.
- Lead faculty and administrative teams, promoting professional development and high-quality program delivery.
- Enhance student success by improving learning outcomes, retention, and graduation rates.
- Oversee course scheduling, curriculum development, program assessment, and accreditation processes.
- Manage budget planning, fiscal management, and efficient resource allocation.
- Foster a dynamic educational environment that promotes excellence in teaching, applied research, and service.
- Ensure compliance with institutional policies and accreditation standards.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- An earned PhD in a relevant health sciences discipline from a recognized, accredited institution.
- A minimum of 8+ years of combined experience as a practitioner/professional in the relevant discipline and in a supervisory/management role.
- Eligibility for the rank of Professor or Associate Professor, with evidence of scholarly and professional achievement.
- Professional certification relevant to the disciplines taught in the College.
- Demonstrated leadership in post-secondary administration and a collaborative, collegial spirit.
- Commitment to applied and experiential learning, continuous professional development, and lifelong learning.
