Job Description

The Department of Architectural Engineering at United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) invites applications for a faculty position in Construction Management. Qualified candidates at all levels will be considered at a rank commensurate with academic accomplishments.

Position Overview:
Candidates are expected to have a strong commitment to teaching excellence and student advising at undergraduate and graduate levels, a demonstrable research capability enabling development and sustainment of an internally and/or externally funded research program, and active engagement in promoting the growth of UAEU.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Construction Management
• Develop and sustain internally and/or externally funded research program
• Publish research findings in refereed journals
• Advise students at undergraduate and graduate levels
• Contribute to curriculum development and program growth

Minimum Qualification:

• Earned doctorate in Construction Management or applicable field
• Ability to teach undergraduate courses
• Industrial and professional experience (plus)

Preferred Qualification:

• PhD in Construction Management or related fields
• Excellent communication skills
• Solid curriculum development, publications, and administrative records
• Commitment to teaching
• Currently active in Academic/Research position
• Record of publications in reputable journals
• Teaching graduate courses (plus)

Expected Skills:

• Several years of post-doctoral work and currently involved
• Emphasis on Building Design/Construction and/or Construction Management
• Skills in Primavera, Revit, BIM, NAVISWORKS (highly desirable)
