Job Description
Hamad Bin Khalifa University’s College of Islamic Studies invites applications for an Associate Professor position in Learning Design, Innovation, and Technology. This role contributes to the MA in Comparative Education program, integrating contemporary educational technology with Islamic educational perspectives.
Position Overview:
The Associate Professor will advance learning design and educational technology within comparative education frameworks. The position requires expertise in innovative teaching strategies and technology integration within educational contexts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver graduate courses in learning design, educational technology, and innovation
- Develop research-based teaching strategies incorporating Islamic and global educational approaches
- Conduct and publish high-impact research in educational technology and comparative education
- Supervise undergraduate and graduate theses across multiple levels
- Lead technology integration initiatives within the College of Islamic Studies
- Establish partnerships with educational institutions and industry partners
- Participate in academic committees and curriculum development
- Engage with educational communities in Qatar and internationally
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Ph.D. in Learning Design, Innovation, and Technology or closely related field
- Demonstrated teaching experience and curriculum development expertise
- Strong research record in educational innovation and technology
- Experience integrating Islamic worldview into educational practices preferred
- Excellent communication skills for multicultural academic environments
- Arabic language proficiency considered an asset
