About the Role:
The Mohammed Bin Rashid School for Communication (MBRSC) at the American University in Dubai, a pioneer in the Gulf region, invites applications for a full-time Assistant/Associate Professor of Journalism and Communication. This role is ideal for a multimedia journalism and public relations expert passionate about shaping the next generation of media professionals in a dynamic, international environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in multimedia journalism, public relations, and digital storytelling.
• Develop and deliver curriculum for an evolving communication program, focusing on converged journalism across multiple platforms.
• Contribute to student advising, mentorship, and academic development.
• Maintain an active research profile or demonstrate significant professional achievement in journalism/communication.
• Participate in school committees, curriculum development, and community engagement initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• A terminal degree (Ph.D. or Master of Fine Arts – MFA) in Journalism, Communication, or a closely related field from a Western accredited institution.
• Extensive professional experience in journalism, public relations, or digital media production.
• A strong record of research and/or high-level professional accomplishment.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• A collaborative mindset and commitment to contributing to the growth and excellence of MBRSC.
