Job Overview:

The School of Arts and Sciences at the American University in Dubai invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor of Psychology with a background in Clinical or Therapeutic Psychology. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team for the Fall 2025 semester, contributing to undergraduate education and scholarly activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, student-centered teaching in Psychology at the undergraduate level.
• Teach core courses, including Research Methods and Statistical Analysis.
• Develop curriculum and contribute to program enhancement.
• Engage in scholarly research and publication activities.
• Provide student advising and mentorship.
• Participate in departmental, school, and university service committees.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• A Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in Psychology or a closely related field from a Western accredited university.
• A specialization or strong background in Clinical or Therapeutic Psychology.
• Proven teaching experience within a Western higher education system, with a record of high teaching effectiveness ratings.
• Expertise in teaching Research Methods and Statistical Analysis.
• A record of scholarly activity or demonstrable potential for future research contributions.
• Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.
• The ability to work effectively within a diverse, collaborative academic community.
