Job Description

Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University (HBMSU), a globally recognized leader in innovative higher education, seeks an accomplished Associate Professor or Professor in Operational Management with proven PhD supervision experience. This senior role is pivotal to the advancement of our Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Quality Management program, which merges cutting-edge operational strategies with quality excellence principles.

We are looking for a dynamic academic leader with an outstanding record in teaching, research, and doctoral mentorship to drive excellence in our graduate programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach graduate-level courses in Quantitative Research Methods and Statistics, Service Quality and Excellence, Implementation and Applications of Quality Management, and Seminar in Quality Management.
  • Lead curriculum development, integrating emerging trends like AI-driven operations and advanced quality management systems.
  • Publish high-impact research in Scopus/Web of Science-indexed journals and secure competitive research funding.
  • Mentor and supervise PhD candidates through all stages of their dissertation research.
  • Contribute to program accreditation, develop industry partnerships, and enhance the program’s visibility through academic and professional engagement.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • A Ph.D. in Operational Management, Quality Management, or a closely related field from an AACSB-accredited institution.
  • Proven expertise in teaching graduate courses:
    quantitative research methods, service quality, and quality management applications
  • Experience with online/hybrid instruction is preferred.
  • A strong record of publications in high-impact, Scopus/Web of Science-indexed journals.
  • Demonstrated success in supervising PhD dissertations to completion, particularly in operational or quality management topics.
  • Leadership in research, such as securing grants or holding editorial roles, is highly valued.
