About the Role:

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching & Learning:

• Deliver first- and second-year mathematics courses including:
  • Algebra and Trigonometry
  • Pre-Calculus and Calculus I & II
  • Statistics and Linear Algebra
  • Numerical Problem Solving
• Design and implement student-centered learning experiences
• Develop and evaluate authentic assessment tools
• Utilize learning management systems and digital platforms
• Manage learning resources and course portfolio documentation

Course Coverage:

• Algebra and Trigonometry
• Pre-Calculus
• Calculus I & II
• Statistics
• Linear Algebra
• Numerical Problem Solving

Professional Development:

• Engage in continuous academic professional development
• Participate in curriculum development projects
• Contribute to cross-college interdisciplinary initiatives
• Support program review and accreditation processes

University Service:

• Participate in committee work and university initiatives
• Contribute to curriculum development and assessment

Qualifications:

Education:

• Master’s Degree in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics (required)
• Post-graduate certificate in education teaching methods (preferred)

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years full-time teaching experience
• Experience in upper secondary, post-secondary, or higher education
• Recent relevant academic/professional experience (asset)
