BMC (Batterjee Medical College) invites applications for a Physiology Faculty job in Jeddah within our Medicine Program. This position offers an exceptional opportunity for a qualified physiologist or physician to teach medical students, conduct innovative research, and contribute to curriculum development in one of Saudi Arabia’s leading medical institutions. The successful candidate will play a key role in integrating physiological concepts with clinical practice.

About the Role:


The Physiology Faculty member will deliver comprehensive medical education, mentor students, and conduct research while contributing to BMC’s mission of excellence in medical training and healthcare education.

Key Responsibilities:


Teaching & Curriculum Development:

  • Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and practical sessions in physiology
  • Develop and update course content reflecting latest physiological advances
  • Supervise students in laboratory and research activities
  • Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback

Research:

  • Lead independent and collaborative research projects in physiology
  • Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at conferences
  • Supervise graduate students and research fellows

Interdisciplinary Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with clinical departments to integrate physiology with clinical practice
  • Participate in interdisciplinary teaching and integrated medical courses

Student Mentorship:

  • Provide academic and career advising to medical students
  • Support student research projects and scientific inquiry

Professional Development:

  • Participate in institutional committees and academic initiatives
  • Engage in ongoing professional development activities

Requirements:


Education:

  • PhD in Physiology or closely related field
  • Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with clinical experience preferred

Experience:

  • Proven teaching experience in medical/healthcare education
  • Strong research background with peer-reviewed publications
  • Experience in physiology education and curriculum development

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and teaching abilities
  • Ability to convey complex physiological concepts clearly
