About the Role:

The Academic Specialist will enhance NYUAD’s educational mission by directly supporting undergraduate mathematics courses. This includes leading recitation sections, conducting review sessions, grading assignments, and contributing to student academic support. The position emphasizes creative teaching approaches and collaboration within a dynamic educational team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead recitation sections and review sessions for undergraduate mathematics courses
• Provide grading support and contribute to course coordination efforts
• Offer direct academic support to students
• Participate in teaching team collaborations and training programs
• Contribute to the development of innovative teaching methods

Qualifications:

• Master’s or PhD in Pure or Applied Mathematics
• Demonstrated excellence in undergraduate mathematics education
• Strong teaching or teacher assistance experience
• Exceptional communication skills in English
• Ability to work effectively in a team-teaching environment
