The School of Arts and Sciences at the American University in Dubai (AUD) invites qualified applicants for a full-time faculty position for an Assistant Professor of Biology or Associate Professor of Biology to begin teaching in Fall 2025. This is a premier opportunity for a biology academic to join a leading university in Dubai, UAE.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses, develop curriculum, and maintain an active research program. Responsibilities also include student advising and contributing to the department’s interdisciplinary initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• A Ph.D. in Biology, Ecology, Evolutionary Biology, Zoology, Marine Biology, Botany, or a closely related field from a Western-accredited institution.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching undergraduate courses.
• Strong research background and evidence of scholarly productivity.
• Excellent English written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate on curriculum development and interdisciplinary initiatives.

Primary Teaching & Research Areas:
Candidates should have expertise in one or more of the following biological subfields:

• Ecology
• Biodiversity
• Environmental Science
• Botany
• Zoology
• Marine Biology

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in integrating fieldwork, lab-based research, or computational approaches into teaching.
• Ability to teach a variety of foundational and specialized biology courses.
