| | Established in October 2014, the College of Medicine is Qatar University’s eighth college. It is meticulously aligned with Qatar’s national strategies in Education and Health and reflects Qatar University’s strategic vision. The College champions an innovative, ability-based curriculum, emphasizing a student-centric teaching approach using Problem-Based Learning (PBL) as the main teaching method. This method equips students with the essential skills and knowledge to become proficient physicians catering to society’s healthcare requirements. The College offers a six-year medical program leading to an MD degree. Graduates are well-prepared to undertake advanced clinical training and are equipped to sit for international medical licensing exams (IFOM). Duties & Responsibilities | | |

| | Participate in the teaching of basic clinical skills at the pre-clerkship phase i.e. clinical skills labs: preparation of clinical skills sessions, delivery and evaluation. Organize and participate in clinical assessments and examinations including OSCEs.Facilitate small group teaching such as Problem-Based Learning (PBL) tutorials;Assist in organizing students’ field visits and training in clinical and community health settings. Assist in teaching and organizing clinical CME activities including faculty development. Ensure the smooth functioning of equipment necessary to achieve the aims of the class/tutorial (e.g. computers, software packages).Keep records of student attendance using the University system. Facilitate and/or lead group discussions, either in small groups or with the whole class.Report briefly on the attendance and work of each student at the end of each semester.Distribute, and arrange for return of, course evaluation questionnaires for each tutorial group taught. |

Qualifications | | |

| | Bachelor degree in Medicine & Surgery (MBBS, MD, or equivalent )At least two years of experience in clinical practice. Experience in medical education is an advantage. Skills Required: Ability to communicate effectively in English orally and in writing.Dedication to continued professional development and scholarship.Engaging in scholarly work that is of very high quality as evidenced by external peer review.Exhibit strong pedagogic skills and to remain proficient and current in their disciplines.Ability to develop and lead high-quality research.Ability to provide academic advising for students.Ability to work effectively with multiple diverse communities.Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS). |
