Job Description
The Faculty of Physical Therapy at German International University invites applications for faculty positions at the rank of Full Professor, Associate Professor, or Lecturer in Physical Therapy for Neurology and Neurosurgeries, effective September 2026 or February 2027.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, innovative, student-centered courses in foundational and specialized areas of the degree program
- Participate in program preparation for accreditation and other quality initiatives
- Engage with stakeholders in professional community to support teaching, research, and professional development
- Support building a network for internships and practical onsite training
- Collaborate with various committees at program, faculty, and university level
- Serve as student advisor, providing guidance and support throughout academic journey
- Contribute to development of research capacity within faculty, fostering culture of inquiry and innovation
- Teach courses in Physical Therapy for Neurology and Physical Therapy for Neurosurgeries
Essential Qualifications:
- Qualified physiotherapist eligible for registration to practice in country
- Member of professional organization
- Experience across multiple areas of physiotherapy practice (highly valued), especially specialized in Physical Therapy for Neurology and Neurosurgeries
- PhD in Physical Therapy for Neurology and Neurosurgeries, demonstrating expertise in area of specialization
- Evidence of teaching excellence in design, delivery, and evaluation of physiotherapy entry-to-practice education programs and courses
- Track record of research activity and outputs, including grants and peer-reviewed publications
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong interpersonal abilities
- Versatility across various physiotherapy and health content-specific teaching areas (highly considered)
