Job Purpose
The Department of Public Relations in the College of Communication at the University of Sharjah, invites applications for the position of Assistant/Associate/Full Professor in Strategic Communication and Advertising, beginning in Fall 2025.
Given how the areas of advertisement and strategic communication have changed over the years, we will favor individuals with knowledge in data analysis and internet social impact.
The successful candidate will teach courses related to public relations, advertising, strategic communication, corporate communication, and social responsibility, and integrated marketing communication along with general media and communication requirement for the college.
The ideal candidate will have a proven research track-record, with publications in high-impact journals (e.g., Scopus indexed) and have demonstrate the potential to secure internal and external research funding.

Main accountabilities & expectations
Teach specialized and general courses using innovative methods and approaches. Develop a strong research track record in the form of peer-review publications in high-impact Scopus indexed journals. Contribute to the department’s academic and extracurricular activities. Provide effective student advising and supervise graduation projects. ​
Required Skills
A PhD in Strategic Communication, Data Analysis and Communication, Public Relations, Advertising, Marketing Communication, or a relevant field from a top-ranked university. A minimum of two years teaching experience after the completion of their PhD. A strong research record as evidenced by publication in top-tier journals. Evidence of successful teaching effectiveness, academic and community service. Hands-on experience and knowledge of media, marketing, and advertising production tools. A proven record of professional integrity, collegiality, and commitment to diversity. Excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to collaborative and collegial engagement, and building connections with professionals, businesses, and alumni. Preference will be given to individuals who can teach both in Arabic and English.
