About the Role

Gulf University is currently recruiting an English Lecturer to join its General Studies department in Bahrain. This English Lecturer position involves teaching English language and communication courses to undergraduate students across all colleges at the university, supporting academic excellence and English proficiency campus-wide.

Qualifications Required

• Master’s degree in English Language, TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or a related field
• Ph.D. in English, TESOL, or Applied Linguistics (preferred)
• CELTA, DELTA, or equivalent teaching certification (desirable)

Experience Required

• Minimum of two years’ experience teaching English at the university level
• Experience teaching EAP (English for Academic Purposes)
• Native or near-native proficiency in English

Key Skills

• Strong classroom management and pedagogical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to develop course materials, assessments, and learning resources
• Experience with educational technologies and learning management systems

Roles and Responsibilities

As English Lecturer, the successful candidate will:
