Job Description
The College of Law at the University of Dubai (UD) invites applications for a highly qualified Assistant Professor in the field of Private Law to contribute to teaching, research, and academic development within the LLB program. Therefore, this role offers an excellent opportunity to join a leading higher education institution owned by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Position Overview:
The appointed candidate must demonstrate strong expertise in Private Law and the ability to teach core private law courses within the LLB program. Additionally, any experience in teaching common law courses will be considered an asset.
Key Responsibilities:
- First and foremost, teach undergraduate Private Law courses within the LLB program in English
- Additionally, demonstrate the ability to deliver core private law subjects, including:
- Contract Law
- Tort Law
- Property Law
- Company Law
- Commercial Law
- Related disciplines
- Furthermore, develop course materials, assessments, and teaching resources aligned with program learning outcomes and accreditation standards
- Moreover, maintain an active research agenda and publish in peer-reviewed Scopus-indexed journals
- In addition, contribute to curriculum development, academic advising, student supervision, and quality assurance processes
- Furthermore, participate in college committees, accreditation activities, and institutional service
- Finally, contribute to the academic and strategic growth of the College of Law
Required Qualifications:
- To begin with, candidates must have a PhD in Private Law or an equivalent degree from a recognized and reputable university
- Furthermore, a minimum of two years teaching experience at a recognized and reputable university, with demonstrated competency in teaching Private Law courses within an LLB program
- Additionally, demonstrated competency and experience in teaching Private Law courses within an LLB program
- Moreover, a strong research record, including publications in peer-reviewed Scopus-indexed journals
- Furthermore, a Scopus H-index of 2 to 3 or above, reflecting scholarly impact
- Finally, demonstrated commitment to academic excellence, research productivity, and institutional service
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in teaching common law courses (considered an asset)
