About the Role
Gulf University’s College of Communication & Media Technologies is seeking an Assistant Professor in Advertising to teach and conduct research in advertising, digital marketing, and media communications. This Assistant Professor in Advertising role combines academic teaching with applied industry expertise across digital and traditional advertising platforms.
Qualifications Required
- Ph.D. in Advertising, Marketing Communications, Media Studies, or a closely related field
- Evidence of scholarly publications and research activity
Experience Required
- Teaching experience at the university level
- Strong knowledge of digital advertising platforms and strategies
- Professional experience in advertising agencies or marketing departments
- Certifications from DMI, Google, or Meta advertising platforms (desirable)
Key Skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to integrate theory with practical advertising applications
- Experience with media production tools and software
- Research competence in advertising and media communications
Roles and Responsibilities
As Assistant Professor in Advertising, the successful candidate will:
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Advertising, Digital Marketing, and related media subjects
- Conduct research and publish in peer-reviewed journals in advertising and media
- Supervise student projects, campaigns, and graduation projects
- Contribute to program accreditation (CIPR, DMI) and curriculum development
- Develop industry partnerships and collaborative projects
- Participate in university events and community engagement
