Job Description
Gulf University’s College of Communication & Media Technologies seeks an Assistant Professor in Advertising to teach and conduct research in advertising, digital marketing, and media communications.
Expected Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Advertising, Marketing Communications, Media Studies, or closely related field
- Evidence of scholarly publications and research activity
Expected Experience:
- Teaching experience at the university level
- Strong knowledge of digital advertising platforms and strategies
- Professional experience in advertising agencies or marketing departments
- Certifications from DMI, Google, or Meta advertising platforms (desirable)
Required Skills:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to integrate theory with practical advertising applications
- Experience with media production tools and software
- Research competence in advertising and media communications
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Advertising, Digital Marketing, and related media subjects
- Conduct research and publish in peer-reviewed journals in advertising and media
- Supervise student projects, campaigns, and graduation projects
- Contribute to program accreditation (CIPR, DMI) and curriculum development
- Develop industry partnerships and collaborative projects
- Participate in university events and community engagement
