Qatar University invites applications for a faculty position in Pediatric Dentistry at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor within the Pre-Clinical Oral Health Sciences Department. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide up-to-date reports involving teaching activities and student advising as assigned by the department
• Take responsibility for course development and participate in curriculum and program development
• Meet all instructional and advising responsibilities as specified in policies and procedures
• Participate in scholarly and research activities that enhance professional development and contribute to the discipline
• Serve on department, college and university committees
• Provide professional services to the University and community

Required Qualifications:

• PhD or equivalent in a relevant field
• Recognized authority in the subject area with achievements in research and scholarship
• In-depth understanding of own specialism(s) to enable development of new knowledge and understanding within the field
• Evidence of relevant research potential, including potential to publish in appropriate leading journals
• Evidence of teaching ability using a range of delivery techniques to engage student interest and enthusiasm
• Ability to initiate curriculum development and take responsibility for effective teaching program delivery
• Understanding of equal opportunity issues as they may impact teaching areas
• Engaged in continuous professional development
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to relate well to colleagues and diverse students
• Ability to perform to required deadlines and to initiate, plan, organize and deliver programs of work
