Job Description

Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University (PMU) invites applications for Lecturer, Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor positions in Software Engineering within the College of Computer Engineering and Science.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • PhD in Software Engineering or related field from an accredited, reputable Western university (Master’s degree with good teaching experience may be considered for freshman/sophomore courses and laboratory modules)
  • Minimum 2-3 years teaching experience after terminal degree
  • Good research experience including publications in international journals and conferences
  • Industrial experience is a plus
  • Excellent command of English language
  • Familiarity with technology-infused academic environments
  • Previous experience in Middle East or GCC countries is a plus

Required for Associate/Full Professor: Letter of promotion from academic institution with documented due process

Duties and Responsibilities:

General:

Teaching:

  • Contribute to school and faculty policy in teaching
  • Play significant role in course design, development, and planning
  • Play significant role in course review, assessment, and quality assurance

  • Provide timely feedback and assessment
  • Provide general support and guidance to students

Scholarly and Professional Development:

  • Maintain appropriate scholarly or professional development activity
  • Participate in comprehensive advisement of students
  • Contribute to overall work of College and external organizations
  • Effectively contribute to management and administrative processes
  • Participate in, manage, or lead major initiatives for accreditation
  • Participate in recruitment, management, development, and mentoring of colleagues
