Job Description

The Faculty of Business Management at Emirates Aviation University (EAU) invites applications for Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor positions in Aviation Management or Business Management. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to business and aviation education at a leading institution in the UAE.

Position Overview:
The successful candidate will teach aspects of theory and practice in Aviation and Business Management at the undergraduate level. Faculty members facilitate learning and development of knowledge through high-quality teaching and research, including supervision of projects. Participation in university committees and effective collaboration within the wider academic team is required.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching & Course Delivery:

• Deliver lectures professionally to ensure all learning outcomes and objectives for each course are achieved
• Design, grade, and manage exams, coursework, and projects where applicable
• Maintain order in classrooms by effectively managing, motivating, and engaging students
• Maintain course files and other documents related to courses

Curriculum Development:

• Be actively involved in developing curriculum to maintain high standard of quality education
• Update syllabus to keep up with the latest industry requirements
• Review course contents regularly to ensure relevance of information, examples, and methodologies

Student Support:

• Provide orientation and counselling to ‘advisee’ students as allocated
• Supervise student projects and research initiatives

Research & Scholarship:

• Actively engage in scholarship and research
• Publish papers and articles in first-class international journals

Academic Service:

• Participate in various college committees
• Supervise teaching assistants where applicable
• Work effectively as part of the wider academic team

Required Qualifications:

• Earned Doctorate preferably in Aviation Management or Business Management discipline
• Minimum 3-5 years of teaching experience at University level (preferred)
• Master’s degree considered for candidates with excellent Aviation Industry experience
• English language proficiency and excellent communication skills
• Proven track record in teaching, class management, and course delivery
