About the Position

The successful candidate will contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, high-quality research, curriculum development, and academic leadership within the School of Management.

The role places particular emphasis on:

• Entrepreneurship education.
• Applied innovation.
• Venture development.
• Practice-based learning.
• Curriculum and programme development.
• Academic leadership.
• Industry and entrepreneurial ecosystem engagement.

Candidates with experience in programme coordination, curriculum development, academic administration, consultancy, start-up development, venture creation, or innovation ecosystems are particularly encouraged to apply.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must hold a PhD in Entrepreneurship or a closely related discipline from an internationally accredited institution ranked within the top 500 of the QS World University Rankings.

Candidates should demonstrate:

• Relevant academic experience with strong teaching performance at undergraduate and, ideally, postgraduate levels.
• A record of active research demonstrated through publications in reputable, peer-reviewed, Scopus-indexed journals.
• Experience in academic administration, programme development, committee participation, or related leadership roles.
• Evidence of incorporating entrepreneurship practice, innovation methods, and applied learning into teaching and supervision.
• Fluency in English.

Desirable Experience

Additional assets include:

• Professional practice or consultancy experience in entrepreneurship.
• Start-up development experience.
• Experience in innovation management.
• Familiarity with Canadian higher education systems or professional standards.
• Previous teaching experience in the Middle East.
• Canadian academic links or experience.

Candidates with Canadian academic affiliations or relevant Canadian experience will be given priority.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to:

• Teach 12 credit hours per regular semester at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
• Deliver courses in Entrepreneurship and related areas.
• Supervise student projects, independent studies, and research.
• Provide academic mentoring to students.
• Maintain an active research and scholarly agenda in entrepreneurship, innovation, and venture development.
• Produce at least two publications per year in reputable peer-reviewed outlets, preferably Q1 or Q2 Scopus-indexed journals.
• Contribute to curriculum review and programme development.
• Enhance entrepreneurship-related courses and learning activities.
• Support accreditation, quality assurance, and strategic School and Department initiatives.
• Pursue externally funded research.
• Develop industry collaborations.
• Participate in community-based entrepreneurship and innovation initiatives.
• Contribute to university committees and academic service.
• Participate in student engagement and professional development activities.
• Support community outreach.
• Represent the School and University at professional, academic, and industry forums.
