Job Description

The Nonlinear Dynamics Research Center (NDRC) at the Deanship of Research and Graduate Studies invites applications for a full-time research faculty position (Research Assistant/Associate/Professor) in Applied Mathematics, for Spring 2026/2027. The successful candidate will be expected to conduct high-impact research, contribute to teaching activities, secure external funding, and actively engage with the university’s academic and professional community.

Key Responsibilities

Research & Publications

  • Conduct advanced research in Nonlinear Dynamics, Fractional Calculus, Mathematical Modeling, and Control Theory
  • Publish in high-impact, Scopus-indexed Q1/Q2 journals
  • Participate actively in national and international research conferences

Teaching & Supervision

  • Deliver lectures and workshops in specialized research areas
  • Supervise graduate students’ research projects and dissertations

Grants & Funding

  • Develop and submit competitive research grant proposals
  • Secure external research funding to support ongoing research activities

Service & Engagement

  • Organize and coordinate workshops, seminars, and conferences at both national and international levels
  • Foster collaborations with industry partners, governmental institutions, and academic research centers
  • Actively contribute to the growth and visibility of Ajman University and the NDRC

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • A Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics or a closely related field, from an internationally reputable institution
  • A strong publication record in high-impact SCOPUS-indexed journals, with a notable h-index and citation count
  • Proven experience in teaching and research supervision at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels
  • Experience securing and managing external research grants is highly desirable

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong organizational, leadership, and program development skills
