Job Description

Muscat University invites applications for an Assistant Professor in Business Management with bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English to join the Faculty of Business and Management. The candidate will manage and support cross-faculty delivery of postgraduate, undergraduate, and executive programmes.

Position Overview:
The post holder will work with the Faculty Dean and teaching staff to ensure efficient delivery of modules and will be responsible for curriculum management and enhancement activities complying with Omani accreditation authorities and partner standards. The post holder is expected to drive their research agenda in alignment with the University’s Research Strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality teaching on undergraduate, PGT, and PGR level programmes
• Construct, plan, and assess student assignments
• Liaise with Faculty Dean on student matters including timetabling and academic support
• Undertake role of Student Advisor/Personal Tutor
• Conduct research and scholarly activity for publication in international academic journals
• Engage with external business and management bodies and industry
• Participate in university meetings including Board of Examiners and Programme Reviews
• Develop and supervise research projects
• Build collaborations and lead-edge practice through international publication record

Qualifications & Experience:

• PhD in Business and Management or closely related area from accredited university (ideally AACSB accredited)
• Solid research profile
• Minimum 3 years post-doctoral HE teaching experience (including master’s level)
• Industry experience
• Experience of Omani and GCC HE environments (advantage)
• Strong links to industry and international context experience

Alternative Qualification:

• MSc in Business Management field + 1-2 years HE teaching experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional qualifications and/or memberships of recognized bodies
• Fellowship of HE Academy or willingness to work towards (within 18 months)
• Academic accreditation or quality assurance experience
• Strong track record in research and scholarly activities
