Job Description

Gulf University’s College of Communication & Media Technologies seeks an Assistant Professor in Advertising to teach and conduct research in advertising, digital marketing, and media communications.

Expected Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Advertising, Marketing Communications, Media Studies, or closely related field
  • Evidence of scholarly publications and research activity

Expected Experience:

  • Teaching experience at the university level
  • Strong knowledge of digital advertising platforms and strategies
  • Professional experience in advertising agencies or marketing departments
  • Certifications from DMI, Google, or Meta advertising platforms (desirable)

Required Skills:

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to integrate theory with practical advertising applications
  • Experience with media production tools and software
  • Research competence in advertising and media communications

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Advertising, Digital Marketing, and related media subjects
  • Conduct research and publish in peer-reviewed journals in advertising and media
  • Supervise student projects, campaigns, and graduation projects
  • Contribute to program accreditation (CIPR, DMI) and curriculum development
  • Develop industry partnerships and collaborative projects
  • Participate in university events and community engagement
