The American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK) invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor position in Electrical Engineering, specializing in Robotics and Embedded Systems. This position begins in Spring 2025 and offers opportunities for research, teaching, and collaboration in a dynamic academic environment.

Position Overview:
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering seeks a dedicated scholar with expertise in robotics, embedded systems, and emerging technologies. The successful candidate will contribute to undergraduate and graduate programs while advancing research in cutting-edge engineering fields.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in electrical engineering
• Develop and deliver curriculum in robotics, embedded systems, and related areas
• Conduct innovative research and publish in high-quality journals
• Supervise student projects and research initiatives
• Contribute to department service and academic committees
• Support ABET accreditation processes and continuous improvement
• Mentor students and provide academic guidance

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• PhD in Electrical Engineering or closely related field from an accredited, internationally recognized institution
• Expertise in Robotics and Embedded Systems
• Strong research record with recent high-quality publications
• University-level teaching experience
• Excellent English communication skills (written and oral)
• Commitment to teaching excellence and innovative pedagogy
• Ability to collaborate across disciplines
• Familiarity with ABET accreditation requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

• Additional expertise in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and IoT
• Experience with high-impact educational practices
• Record of securing research funding
• Industry experience in robotics or embedded systems
