Job Description

Ajman University is seeking a qualified X-ray Technician (Dental Imaging Specialist) to join our College of Dentistry. This critical role supports clinical care, teaching, and research by operating advanced dental radiography equipment and ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and imaging quality.

The ideal candidate will be a skilled radiography professional with expertise in dental imaging technologies and a passion for supporting academic and clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate advanced dental imaging equipment, including intraoral, panoramic (OPG), cephalometric, and CBCT machines.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures, providing clear instructions and reassurance.
• Maintain and troubleshoot digital imaging systems (PACS, DICOM) for efficient image acquisition, storage, and retrieval.
• Implement radiation safety protocols in compliance with FANR and MOH regulations.
• Support dental students and faculty in clinical imaging, research projects, and academic activities.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance, calibration, and quality assurance checks.
• Maintain accurate records of imaging procedures, radiation logs, and equipment maintenance.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Radiology, Medical Imaging, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• Valid license from the UAE Ministry of Health (MOH) and certification in FANR radiation protection standards.
• 2–4 years of experience in dental or medical radiography, with proficiency in OPG, cephalometric, and CBCT imaging.
• Strong technical skills in operating and troubleshooting radiographic equipment and software.
• Knowledge of radiation safety protocols and patient privacy standards.
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills to support students and collaborate with faculty.
• Attention to detail and a patient-centered approach.
