Job Description

The College of Information Technology at Ahlia University invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor in Artificial Intelligence (AI) . The successful candidate will contribute to teaching excellence, cutting-edge research, student supervision, and academic service while supporting continued development of AI-related programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses including Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Neural Networks, Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision, Intelligent Systems, Data Mining & Big Data Analytics, and AI Ethics and Governance
• Develop and update course materials to reflect current technological developments and industry standards
• Conduct high-quality, peer-reviewed research in AI and publish in reputable journals and conferences
• Supervise senior projects, graduate theses, and research activities
• Advise, mentor, and support students academically
• Assist in accreditation efforts, curriculum design, and continuous program improvement
• Participate in college and university committees, events, and academic initiatives

Qualifications:

• PhD in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Data Science, or closely related specialization
• Strong publication record in AI and machine learning domains
• Demonstrated teaching experience at the university level
• Expertise in one or more key AI areas (e.g., NLP, Computer Vision, Reinforcement Learning, AI in Cybersecurity, Generative AI)
• Experience with AI tools, frameworks, and platforms (e.g., Python, TensorFlow) highly desirable
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to effective teaching, impactful research, and university service

Rank Requirements:

Assistant Professor:

• Evidence of strong research potential and emerging contributions in AI

Associate Professor:

• Strong publication record, proven teaching excellence, and demonstrated academic service and leadership
