About Candidate

I write concerning the vacancy for a teacher of English in your institution as advertised. I am keen to be a part of the department as I would like the opportunity to enthuse young people with the English language and its nuances. I am also a team player and would like to collaborate with others.

As a TEFL-qualified teacher with 6 years of experience, I’m excited to apply my skills and expertise to the role of the English teacher. Even though I was born in India I completed my elementary to high school education in the United States of America. My accent and English are parallel to that of a native speaker. I have been teaching English in various colleges in India, most notably at Loyola College, Chennai from the years 2016 to 2021. I received my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English literature from the same institution.

I have also completed my Master of Philosophy in English Literature from the University of Madras. I have always been drawn to teaching from a very young age and have always been naturally comfortable speaking in front of a group.

Whilst in teaching practices, I have taught students of various disciplines starting with engineering, commerce, multiple arts, and science disciplines. With over 6 years of experience. I have also research experience in post-modern and Ecofeminism. Also, I have completed my TEFL course which means I can teach in Oman.

My classrooms have always been a hybrid learning environment where I have incorporated technology-guided instruction alongside the traditional chalk and board teaching methodology.

Assessing pupils’ work is essential in encouraging their progress and the development of their knowledge. I will employ a variety of assessment methods to encourage this progress. I am always very eager to expand my educational horizons so I am more than ready to provide any additional qualifications if needed.
