About Candidate

I am reaching out to explore opportunities in higher education across the UAE, the Middle East, and Asia — both faculty roles and senior academic leadership positions.

I am a political scientist with over two decades of experience spanning research, teaching, and academic administration. My work sits at the intersection of governance, public policy, and institutional change, with a particular focus on Asia, South Asia, and Southeast Asia. I hold a PhD from the National University of Singapore and have held positions at Heidelberg University (Germany), NUS, and, most recently, as an Invited Associate Professor and Research and International Collaborations Coordinator at UPES, India.

On the research side, I have published with Oxford University Press, Routledge, Cambridge, and leading peer-reviewed journals. My book Capturing Institutional Change (OUP, 2020) was listed among the top 10 books to read that year by The Print. Beyond research and teaching, I have built and managed academic partnerships, led PhD programmes, coordinated international collaborations across Europe, Asia, and North America, and contributed to curriculum development at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. I am comfortable operating at the interface of strategy and scholarship, which makes me a good fit for roles that combine administrative responsibilities with academic responsibilities.

I would welcome a conversation if you are working with universities or institutions seeking profiles like mine. I am happy to share my full CV or discuss further at your convenience.
