About Candidate

Dr. Wasi ur Rahman is an Assistant Professor (Contractual) in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, with over 13 years of teaching and research experience. He obtained his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Durgapur, where his research focused on the experimental investigation of catalytic transesterification of natural feedstocks for biodiesel production.

His research interests include biodiesel production, waste valorisation, and herbal extraction. Dr. Rahman has published 15 research papers, including 13 SCI-indexed journal articles, and has received over 500 citations. He has actively contributed to academic administration, laboratory development, research supervision, and curriculum enhancement. He also possesses industrial experience as a Project Engineer in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, bringing valuable industry-academia perspectives to his teaching and research activities.
