My academic foundation includes a Ph.D. in Digital Image Processing from the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Durgapur, and an M.Tech in Computer Science from Mazoon College, Muscat. I have further strengthened my technical profile through an Advanced Certification in Generative AI and Prompt Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore. This certification has provided me with hands-on expertise in Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Multimodal AI, and AI-driven educational applications — skills I actively integrate into my teaching and research practice.
Leadership & Institutional Impact
As Professor and Head of Department at KMCT Institute of Emerging Technology and Management, I currently provide strategic academic direction, mentor faculty, oversee departmental operations, and champion accreditation and quality assurance initiatives. Prior to this role, I served as University Vice Principal, Head of Department, and Associate Professor at AWH Engineering College, where I contributed substantially to institutional development and academic excellence.
GCC Regional Experience
A defining feature of my career is more than seven years as a Lecturer at Caledonian College of Engineering (National University Oman), Muscat. During this period I was immersed in teaching, curriculum delivery, student mentoring, academic administration, and institutional development within Oman’s higher education framework. My subsequent experience at Qatar Aeronautical College further deepened my understanding of GCC academic culture and regulatory requirements. I am therefore well-positioned to make an immediate and meaningful contribution to any institution in the region.

My research agenda spans Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, Digital Image Processing, and emerging technologies, with publications in Scopus-indexed journals and IEEE conference proceedings. Beyond publishing, I actively participate in faculty development programmes and have served as both Resource Person and Chairperson for AI-focused academic initiatives, particularly in the healthcare sector.
