I am a senior medical education and public health professional with over two decades of progressive experience in postgraduate medical education (PGME), academic leadership, and health system strengthening. My career spans clinical service delivery, national‑level regulation, accreditation, and academic management, with a strong focus on improving the quality and standards of medical education in resource‑limited and transitional health systems.

I have held key leadership roles including Academic Manager and Chief of PGME Training, PGME Consultant to the Ministry of Public Health, and Technical Deputy General Director at the Afghanistan Medical Council, where I led initiatives in accreditation, licensing examinations, curriculum development, and patient safety. I have successfully designed, established, and managed postgraduate and fellowship programs, including the introduction of super‑specialty training programs for the first time at the national level.

My expertise lies in PGME quality assurance, curriculum development, faculty and trainee assessment, accreditation systems, and strategic leadership, supported by formal training in Health Professions Education (MHPE), Public Health, Management and Leadership, and international exposure through the FAIMER Fellowship. I am known for bridging policy, academic standards, and operational implementation, while working closely with international partners, universities, and regulatory bodies.
